|"We had a great stay at Casa Rossa. The villa is very well-equipped and the owner, who lives right above, was very helpful. We had an issue with the wi-fi and she took care of it right away. She checked with us several times to see if we needed help with anything or with sightseeing. The location of the house is great, at the very top of Via Pasitea, so the views are spectacular. Being so high up keeps you away from the crowds below, which we preferred. When we wanted to be with the crowds, all we had to do was walk down the hill.
|"It's my pleasure it leave feedback for Casa Rosa - the most wonderful holiday apartment we have ever stayed in. Do it - just book it now if it's available - you will never regret it!
|"Our stay was wonderful! Casa Rossa was perfect….the weather was perfect….Property Manager was a big help to us throughout the week, and she cooked us a wonderful dinner one night. She was always available to answer questions and give us her thoughts and ideas on where to eat, where to go, and how to really enjoy Positano. She was an exchange student in the US when she was in High school so her English is exceptional. She really wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay….
My only regret, is that I wish I would have tried to shop and cook a meal at the Villa before our last night. ( I didn’t see the butcher shop until the end of the week…) I was apprehensive about using the cooktop, and actually preparing a meal….The kitchen was ( by Italian standards) a modern kitchen….And Marina would have helped me with any questions…. It was so easy when I finally did….
But then the food in the restaurants was wonderful…and we walked to them.
Please do advise any of your guests going to the Amalfi coast… “ Do not rent a car…” We were so glad we did not….
We hired a driver who was professional, informative, and very helpful. She was waiting right at the end of our train track for us at the Naples train station, so it really was a relief as we were very tired. She helped us with our luggage and guided us to her SUV and drove us right to the villa and phoned Marina a few times to update her on our arrival . She also picked us back up and drove us back to Naples. She also does small group tours. Highly recommend her!
We decided on Tuesday that what we really wanted to do was enjoy our beautiful terrace and the beach. Every day was sunny and in the high 70’s…we had lazy mornings with coffee on the terrace and then as the sun warmed up, we walked the 600+ steps down to the beach where we rented umbrellas and beach chairs and read books ( and swan in the sea that was cool and refreshing!) and then around 4:30 we walked the 600 + steps back up to the villa and enjoyed our cocktail hour with the beautiful view of the Sea…. Along with the view, was the sound of distant voices from the other villas and the bells…..no horns, no noise, no loud music!
We did not turn on the TV or the Cd player all week. Nor did we read a newspaper….the internet wifi was limited to the dining room ( which was just fine)…It really was a relaxing way to get away from our hectic lives here in the US.
We spent the week living in a postcard….
|""Excellent villa with awesome views"
Beautiful villa with amazing views of the Mediterranean. Stone/tile floors, cathedral ceilings, very spacious. Excellent location, on top of the hillside looking over Positano. Easy access to store/restaurant/bar.
10-15 minute walk down to the town and bus service available. Great host/owner who was available for reccommendations/cooking dinner/suggestions for any topic/babysitting. Very enjoyable and lovely holiday."
|"My 2 nieces and I stayed at Casa Rossa for a week at the end of June, 2012. We loved every minute of it. The apartment was spacious, clean and Marina the owner couldn't have been nice or more accomodating. She cooked us dinner the first night we were there and helped us with recommending great restaurants, directions, etc. The apartment is located in the Chiesa Nuovo section of Positano which is wonderful since there is a market, bar, and the bus stop right at the top of the street. Plus you can walk to many great restaurants. We rented an apartment so that we could feel like we lived in Positano and it really felt like that."
