The patio is large, with an outdoor shower and those 180 view view views! Its truly like a dream enjoying expresso and admiring the Tyrrhenian Sea from the patio.- spectacular!
The location is ideal to go explore east or west along the coast, and up to the quant towns of Metepertuso or Nocelle. A half hour West brings you to Sorrento and the more relaxed Massa Lubrense for a local meal and gorgeous sunsets. 45 minutes East and you are in the lovely town of Ravello (check out the two gardens and enjoy lunch in the square). Positano of course is 10 minutes drive.
Driving is tricky on the coast...pull in those mirrors and pay attention and you will be fine. Park at one of the two garages near the Positano ferry dock. A short, boutique filled walk brings you the dock. Charter a boat or rent one yourself and enjoy the entire coast from a different point of view...a very special day indeed! In Ravello there is a lot for a small fee that is safe and its easy to walk to the square from there.
The villa owner, was a pure delight. Lending us his basil plant for cooking, a pool float and making dinner reservations at La Terra restaurant in Montepertuso. What a view down the coast! The meal and wine and service were incredible...but so was that view from so high up the mountain! Bonus: They will pick you up and drop you off so you can enjoy the local wine with your fabulous dinner.
The owner could not have been more welcoming, helpful, kind and courteous. He was there when you needed him but did not interfere. He has pride in the beautiful home he built and wants you to enjoy it to the fullest....which we certainly did.
Thank you VilleinItaly for your excellent service and to the owner for sharing his wonderful villa for us to enjoy!!!
