In May/June 2023 we spent three week at La Casa di Zia Amalia in Positano which was extremely enjoyable. The villa is very comfortable, furnished in a simple Italian style, and has a wonderful, panoramic view of the Gulf of Salerno. The owners were very welcoming on our arrival, helped with our luggage and gave us a wonderful gift of a large fruit tray and a bottle of Prosecco. As requested, they had pre-stocked the villa with groceries and throughout our stay, Andrea was very helpful, providing information on grocery delivery, restaurants, etc. The kitchen was also extremely well equipped with great utensils, an American coffee maker, etc.

To get to anywhere in Positano and to truly enjoy your stay in this beautiful town, requires walking up steep inclines and many, many steps. The villa was no different as it is located between 2 main roads and it takes many steps to get to both the upper and lower streets. However, although we are both retired and in just moderate shape, we managed the steps sometimes several times each day and the exercise was beneficial as we burnt a lot of calories and were fitter by the end of our stay in Positano.

The villa is also located in a quieter, less touristy part of town but near several good restaurants and shops and we certainly enjoyed starting off our day by having breakfast at nearby restaurants, such as Positano Cafe, with the most incredible views. As we were there for 3 weeks, it was also very helpful that there was a laundry/dry cleaner on the upper road that was reasonably priced and were willing to deliver to our villa. By the end of our 3-week stay, the villa felt like a second home and we had grown very fond of Positano.

This review would not be complete if I didn’t mention Massimiliano from Ville in Italia whose service was exemplary and who went above and beyond as he assisted us in making arrangements prior to our stay and also arranged transportation several times with local provider as it just isn’t practical to have a car in Positano. The drivers, in particular Giuseppe and Luigi, were always on-time, professional and came to our rescue on several occasions.

These individuals made our vacation special and left a long-term impression of the nicest Italians you would ever want to meet. We would therefore highly recommend booking through Ville in Italia and staying at La Casa di Zia Amalia and hope to return there one day.

We just returned from a 2 week family vacation at La Casa di Zia Amalia. We were there in October, 2019 and were a family of 3 adult couples. Our niece, nephew and their respective significant others accompanied us for various periods during our stay.
La Casa di Zia Amalia is ideal for this situation. It is set up almost like a mother/daughter with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom separate within the villa. One of the bedrooms had a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. This living situation allowed the young couples to go in and out at night without disturbing us.
There is plenty of room for all in the villa, as it is much larger than the pictures make it appear.
The villa exudes old time elegance with modern improvements.
The living room/dining room is very large with beautiful double doors leading to both the kitchen and the huge terrace which overlooks the Mediterranean.
There is a separate wash room with both a washing machine and wash tub. The drying rack is on the terrace and the warm Southern Italian sun takes only a few daylight hours or an overnight to dry your clothes.
The bedroom nearest the living area also has double doors which open to the terrace.
The large kitchen is well appointed and also has a balcony overlooking the sea.
The oversized terrace is accessed from the kitchen, the living room and one bedroom. It has a partial overhang which allows it to be used all the time, even during the hottest sun or inclement weather. It also has an outside shower.
The area has several grocery stores, a great barber shop, excellent nearby restaurants and stores. It also gives one access to two beaches, both the Spiaggia Grande and the Fornillo Beach are just a short walk away.
The owners were wonderful to deal with. The owner's son was available by cell phone and email if you should need anything. They presented us with a large basket of fresh fruit upon arrival.
We highly recommend this villa for anyone going to Positano and we would rent it again when we return.

My famiIy and I stayed in La Casa di Zia Amalia in Positano late June, early July 2015. We were 6 people and the house was large enough to accommodate everyone without feeling like we were many. The view of the ocean from the balcony, where we eat most of our meals, was simply amazing, both during the day and at night. The kitchen as well as the 3 bedrooms had the same unbelievable view.
The decor of the house is simple but we had everything we needed, included washer and dryer, tv and wifi.
I must warn you that Positano is all about stairs and although La casa di Zia Amalia is in the middle of the mountain, you need to be in good shape to go up and down many, many stairs to go to the shops or the beach. We enjoyed the exercise but at the end we did not go out as much, I must admit!
The owners came and greeted us both upon arrival and departure and they were very nice people. A bowl of fruit was left in the kitchen for us to enjoy and we found that a very warm way of welcoming us.
We had a wonderful family vacation at La Casa di Zia Amalia, I highly recommend it.

· The Property is clean and very well maintained.
· The Air-conditioners all work very well.
· The Property is spacious and can easily fit up to 8 people.

We had a great stay at Casa Zia Amalia. Your willingness to meet us late in the evening graciously and patiently got us off to a good start - thank you! The Casa is lovely - clean, bright, spacious and with stunning views. The kitchen is well-equipped and we made a few Lovely dinners there. It was a bonus to have the covered outdoor terrace to shield us from sun and rain. We spent most of our time out there, even in a big storm. We loved the location of the apartment - very close to town. And there were plenty of nice places to buy food and eat out within walking distance of the Casa.
All in all we had a great visit and were happy to come home to the Casa at then end of each day.

We are from the United States and my family (4 adults and 1 baby) stayed in Summer of 2012 at La Casa di Zia Amalia in Positano. Our stay could not have been better. The home is located within walking distance of some nice local markets and shops. The home is perfectly decorated and very very clean. The air conditioners worked extremely well. The best part, by far, is the panoramic view and the terrace. We ate all of our meals on the terrace and enjoyed the best local food, wine, deserts, and conversation while enjoying the view of the ocean and the town below. We prepared our own meals every night and the kitchen is fully equipped for a chef. We appreciated all of the owner’s attention to detail (the cleanliness, the American coffee pot, etc). When we go to stay in Positano again in the future we won’t look any further and will definitely plan to book at La Casa Di Zia Amalia. In every way the home exceeded our expectations.

Our stay at La Casa Di Zia Amalia was wonderful.

We really liked this villa, the check-in was very smooth and the owner gave us all the required information. The air-conditioning worked very well and all the appliances (fridge, stove, dishwasher, and washing machine) were recent and worked well. The beds in the two double rooms were comfortable. The villa is close to shopping and we appreciated that. We also appreciated that the owner provided olive oil, basil, oregano, chilli pepper, salt and pepper as well as small hand soaps in the two bathrooms. The key-holder also offered us a nice fruit basket. La Casa di Zia Amalia meet our expectations fully.

We have just returned and had great things to say. Thank you for all of your help. I look forward to travel with you again.

Positano: Apartment was perfect! Just what we'd seen online, and the town was fabulous. Great restaurants (El Capitano had a wonderful view, Next2 was to-die-for food, Vino & Panini was a tiny shop by the main square with decadent sandwiches) shopping (Antico Sartoria) and the ferry to Capri was fun too. Antonella - our local chef - was INCREDIBLE. Definitely the highlight for my entire family. We also enjoyed the Fornillo beach much more than the Spiaggia Grande - it was cheaper and had less of a touristy air.

Hello,
I just wanted to let you know we really enjoyed our holiday in Positano.
We found all aspects of the holiday to be great; from your helpful answers to our initial enquiries and the straight forward booking process with your company, to the courteous and efficient taxi company who arranged our transfers to and from Naples (incidentally we used this taxi company again for an excursion to Pompeii). As for Positano itself, words cannot do it justice, it was simply spectacular. We only ventured out of Positano twice, once for a half day excursion to Pompeii and then we took a boat ride from Positano to Amalfi for a couple of hours.
Finally, La Casa di Zia Amalia was just perfect. Excellent location in Positano, and the villa was spacious, bright and airy, and very well furnished and well equipped. I don’t think there is any feedback that I can give you that can improve anything. By far my favourite part of the villa was the wonderful terrace, an absolute gem. The owners were very helpful both on our arrival and departure. The weather also fantastic!!!

Our holiday in Positano last month was one of the best trips we have had.From the efficient TAXI company that collected us at the airport to the excellent accomodation,we had a wonderful time.La Casa Di Zia Amalia is a beautiful apartment,very clean,airy and spacious with all the mod cons and ameneties we could ask for. The whole experience was a very positive one and as for Positano itself,it must be one of the most magical places in the world.I cannot wait for my return trip and I will certainly be booking my trip through your company.
