We were a party of 9 (two families) who stayed at the Villa in July. Our overall experience was wonderful. While the villa is original and comes with its own quirks, it creates for a unique experience.
Starting with the location, you are much better off staying in Masa than in Positano or Sorrento. The water access was great and swimming right in front of the villa - divine. The restaurants in walking distance (Masa harbor) are tasty, welcoming and accessible. Every meal we had there was enjoyable. The ability to get on a boat and go to Capri or other islands from the harbor was super convenient as well. The best thing about the location - it is not crowded like Positano but gives you all the conveniences. This is where the locals stay!
The villa owners are friendly, welcoming and easily reachable. They were happy to arrange for a private dinner, assist with local info or a reservation at one of the Masa restaurants. We dined in a few Michelin ones and each time had a great experience.
The views, breezes and sunsets from the villa are the best. Fresh lemons from the garden, the smell of the fig trees - a little Italian haven. We could have stayed there a month and that would not have been enough. Would love to return.

We had our wedding here with our immediate families, just 10 peopleand it was the most magical, staning and perfect wedding. It was a a true fable.

We were blown away by the chef, food, violinist, staffand by Tina who helped us plan and coordinate our special day. They added some special surprises. They gifted us with the beach villa so the ladies can get hair + make-up downstairs. It was such a beautiful intimate time celebrating with our families. We're so happy and forever grateful. We enjoyed the villa and the coast all week long before and after our wedding and we simply fell in love with the villa, the town, the view and the people. Thank you to Tina and Maria for all the hard work, loveand special touches. This place will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

Our stay in VIlla Bougainvillea was wonderful.
The villa was everything that it was advertised to be and its location was extremely convenient to all of our activities. The owners were extremely pleasant and met us upon our arrival to show us the villa. The owner even came by on Monday morning with fresh pastries for our breakfast.
The house manager was available to us all week in case we needed anything or even to order pizza for us. Our Italian vacation was all we hoped for and the villa was perfect.
Alessandra from Villeinitalia.com was a great plus in helping us book all of our activities and in responding to last minute requests. I would definitely use their services again for our next Italian holiday.

The service from Ville In Italia pre our arrival was great and they assisted promptly in my requests.

The villa was actually better in real life than the pictures on the website so that's always a bonus! The swimming just outside the villa was divine and a little summer bar set up serving drinks just outside the door of the villa was unexpected but very welcome.

The location: walking along the water to the small harbour of marina Della Lobra was easy and restaurants and bars there are great. It was not so easy to walk back in the dark as the path is not lit.
Boats go from here to anywhere you'd want to go. Recommend as traffic into other towns slow!

Walking into the town of Massa Lubrense requires a real hike uphill that mobility challenged wouldn't manage.

Villa manager and owners were lovely to deal with. Fresh figs in the garden a real treat.

Had a wonderful time but would probably suggest hiring a car if you don't want to pay high taxi prices.

Would definitely recommend and love to return one day.

We rented out both Villa Bougainville and San Montano for our wedding celebration.
This property left us speechless. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The views are to die for. The villas are so spacious and unique and leaves so much to discover both inside and out.

Our group included both friends and family. With the size of the villa everyone had plenty of personal space and privacy.
When everyone wanted to be together there were plenty of large areas throughout
the property that we could all unwind and have a good time.

Both villas are completely separate from each other, although attached they don't share any common ground.
If you do have a large group think about renting both. There are so many terraces and hidden nooks that offer the most spectacular views.
We can not stop talking about this special place.

We are so grateful that the owners allowed us to have our wedding in their beautiful home.
Our agency set us up with a wedding coordinator from the area who helped me plan my perfect wedding.
I had never been to Italy before so the task of planning a wedding overseas was very overwhelming. Our travel agents made this possible for us.
Our wedding day was spectacular and everything I had hoped for. We had our dinner catered by a nearby restaurant Lo Stuzzichino. Fabulous!
We had our rehearsal dinner at Fattoria Terranova. This is a must experience. My favorite!
There is a couple restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the villa, as well as a bar (Angelo's) and small market.
Everyone in this neighborhood is so inviting and helpful.

The owners were there to meet us upon arrival and to answer all our questions.
I recommend having the villa(s) stocked with groceries before your stay which the owners are more than happy to do for you.
Renting a car is a good idea if you are an experienced driver.. Narrow roads, scooters zipping all around you.

We used a car service most of the time since we had a large group.

My father especially, fell in love with these villas. He has been all over Italy as well as my brother and think
the area of Massa Lubrense just might be their favorite hidden gem. It's so relaxing. They are already planning our next trip and YES,
we will be staying at Villa Bougainville and San Montano again.

Firstly, the booking process with Ville in Italia was very professional and efficient. You were particularly helpful at answering queries prior to our arrival and everything went very smoothly thank-you. I would definitely recommend your company to others.

The villa was delightful. It ticks a lot of boxes- great for a large family or several families, plenty of outdoor terrace space, beautiful sizeable pool, direct sea access, walking distance to Marina della Lobra where there are a couple of fantastic harbour side restaurants, Good location for exploring the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii etc.

The villa was lovely and traditional in style and felt very homely and loved by the owners. The kitchen was quite small but functional for making small meals. We were a little short of bowls and glasses for 11 but we managed fine. The views from the villa were spectacular. The villa was cleaned daily and was always spotless.

The owners were delightful- We arrived earlier than normal check-in, yet the villa was ready for us. The owner was on hand if we needed anything and she gave us lots of recommendations for things to see and do, places to eat etc.

All in all, we had a wonderful holiday and would all like to return some day.

We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Bouganville. The house is beautiful and with its many bedrooms and bathrooms, it was perfect for us. It was extremely clean and so well looked after. The garden is beautiful.

Owners were very kind and helpful and assisted us with any requests. We hosted a party one evening and they organised an electrician to come and fix outdoor lights, etc.

We would love to stay at Villa Bouganville again.

Our stay was excellent. The villa fantastic! It was a pleasure to be able to walk 1/4 mile or so for three very good restaurants at the harbor. The only drawback was lots of traffic in Sorrento and the end of the long hilly driveway up to the road.
Good communications from you folks, the owners were pleasant, no hitches or problems.
We would recommend Villa bouganville and also Ville in Italia.

My family and I had the most wonderful holiday at Villa Bouganville. It is a beautiful villa spacious, clean and well equipped. The views from the villa are absolutely stunning. It is close to the sea but we loved the private swimming pool. We managed without a car helped by a food delivery service. Otherwise we walked, used taxis and buses (although taxis were expensive). One of the highlights of our holiday was a boat trip from the little port to Positano. It is an easy walk to the port and you can get a boat to Capri as well as Positano. Also we enjoyed walking down to the port to the local restaurants. The food was very good and inexpensive. I often look at the photos and they remind me of the happy holiday we had. We just want to go again!
You were so helpful and made the whole trip easy for me to plan.

Please note that in May at the Villa Bouganville we rested very well. The villa is great, comfortable, the views are very amazing. We traveled to Pompeii, Amalfi, Sorrento, but with a small child would be more difficult. Overall everything was perfect!

Our stay at the Villa Bouganvilla in Massa Lubrense was magnifco! It was all as advertised and much more. A truly beautiful place with breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples and Capri. The accommodations were wonderful - we were 8 people and had more than enough space.A truly great proprety. We stayed at the Villa for a week in July. We had 2 families with 4 adults and 6 teenagers. The location is convenient to Sorrento attractions(Amalfi coast, Capri, Pompei).You need a car and have to be comfortable driving down the narrow street to get to the villa - I kind of enjoyed the challenge!. The swim area in front of the villa is enjoyable and the ablity to walk to the nearby village for dinner was great. The accomodations are nice and the owners are friendly and more than happy to help with recommendations. We had an awesome time - the kids didnt want to leave.

It was a pleasure to spend vacation at Villa BOUGANVILLE.
Everything was great. The owner is very friendly and attentive, service staff – polite and attentive as well.
Cooking was wonderful.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on our vacation. The villa was everything we had hoped for and more! By the last day we had even found a new garden with a fig tree and basil to explore. It was simply beautiful and we will always remember the great time we had there.

We stayed at the Villa Bouganville/Villa San Montano with family and friends for a week. The views from the villa overlooking Ischia and Capri are breathtaking. The photos online don't do it justice. The home is well-appointed and clearly cared for by its wonderful owners. We had 11 in our group--4 adults + 7 kids ranging in age from 6-15. There was plenty of room and lots for the kids to do...swimming in the pool an bay, picking lemons and making lemonade, and so much more! The villa's location is ideal for exploring Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii, and other neighboring areas. But, Massa Lubrense is where we spent most of our time...it's a quaint fishing village removed from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento tourists. A 15 minute walk along the water brings you to "downtown" Massa Lubrense with a few different restaurant options. My husband is fluent in Italian, which was definitely a plus since the area is less touristy. We are already planning our return trip...

The house exceeded all of our expectations. The home is situated much closer to the sea than was described with stairs right to the water. The rooms were well appointed and the air conditioning worked well at night. The cleaning service was fine and was provided by an English speaking helper who was useful in learning more about our surrounding area. The chef was excellent and could make anything you wanted. The baby sitter spoke excellent English and did just fine with our young children so I would recommend her. The WIFI worked while we were there. So all in all, no issues with the house. The location of the house in the town of Massa Lubrense has many other positives being just out of Sorrento. When we wanted to go into the town of Sorrento we did and it's about 10 minutes away. But we felt most of what we needed was in the local town; an excellent restaurant, a local super market, butcher, bakery and cheese store, fresh seafood store, ATM, gelato bar, and the local marina where we picked up boats on two separate occasions. So we would highly recommend the Villa Bougainvillea.

It was the most wonderful place. I think it was HEAVEN and I thank you and the lovely owners for such a wonderful 50th birthday a girl could every have. All of our freinds and family LOVED it. We were in HEAVEN together.

Our experience was excellant. The villa was very beautiful. We especilly enojoyed the meal that were prepared for us at the villa. The owners were were friendly and went out of their way to ensure that are the accomadations were to are expectations. We did a lot of sighting with a private driver from Sorrento so we missed out on the ooportunity to have cooking classes at the owners villa in Sorrento. I would recommend this villa to anyone who is visting the Sorrento area.

We found Ville in Italia to be fine source of rental properties, and very easy to arrange our rental.

Villa Bouganville was just perfect for our group. The views were very special. We spent most evenings poolside, watching the sun set over Capri. Dinners in the courtyard were very special. I highly recommend the villa.

The villa was delightful. Well furnished and beautifully kept. The views over the Bay of Naples and Capri were wonderful.
The staff at the villa were excellent and unobtrusive.

The owners were fantastic. They were so welcoming and kind. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made our stay a truly special experience. Four of our party went for afternoon coffee and cake at owner's Villa, which was a very kind gesture and they were wonderful hosts.

We would recommend the villa to others and would consider returning there ourselves, if the opportunity arose.

Villa Bougainville was wonderful. It was even nicer than I had imagined - beautifully decorated, amazing views and arranged perfectly for us. There was a lovely children's room at the top and two double bedrooms, each separated so we had great privacy. Every room had a big balcony with easy access outside, with the best view of Capri that we saw, even as we travelled the Amalfi coast. The lemon orchard was large and made an interesting place to walk around - plenty of room both inside and out.
There was a walkway down to the water - very easy access.
And owner was a wonderful, warm and friendly person. She and her husband were so gracious and helpful. And they made our stay very enjoyable. Please thank them again for me.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone - it is good for children and great for just adults.
